The Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1100 PLCs are made for applications that are not demanding by the number of inputs and outputs, and which puts emphasis on high-speed connectivity, accessibility, and the ability to display data from the controller in the web browser. These controllers have 10 digital inputs, 6 digital outputs, and 2 analog inputs. If these are insufficient to support the application according to its design, or the users decide to upgrade the system with more devices in the field after the initial installation, there is a possibility to extend the MicroLogix 1100 systems with up to four 1762 I/O modules. What sets this PLC apart from the competition is its built-in LCD screen on which the controller status is read. The display clearly shows the status of each input and output, and it is possible to display operator messages.
