The Allen-Bradley VPL-B1002M-PJ14AA servo motor is a VPL series servo motor that is designed to be compatible with Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5500 and Kinetix 5700 series servo drives. The standard features of this servo motor include a multi-turn encoder and an IEC metric mounting flange and the special features of this servo motor include a built-in holding brake. The holding brake can hold the VPL-B1002M-PJ14AA servo motor’s shaft at a standstill (at 0 RPM) until the servo motor reaches a specific torque level. This brake should not be used to stop the shaft or as a safety device or severe component damage can occur. The VPL-B1002M-PJ14AA servo motor supports a maximum shaft speed of 6000 RPM.
